- Currently I'm a 4th year Urban Planning Student at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario. Last semester I completed a research proposal on wind farms in Canada, and the benefits and risks associated with large scale developments or 'wind farms'. I originally assumed they would be largely accepted/promoted across the country, what with the inevitable energy crisis we'll all eventually face, but for a variety of reasons, there is often high amount of public opposition to their development. This blog will examine wind farms, pro's and con's, from the perspective of someone who as some knowledge in the field, but really is designed for anyone (including myself) who wants to find out more information about this somewhat controversial technology.
